Communities

From supporting budding Olympic stars in the UK to providing clean drinking water in parts of India and running our foundation in Thailand, we believe in putting something back into the communities in which we work. OCS staff from around the world support many different charity events, here are a few examples:

Australia and New Zealand

OCS supports the Jeans for Genes day in Australia and CanTeen - The Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer. We also provide ongoing support for the Cancer Society of New Zealand.

Ireland

OCS One Complete Solution are proud to be an official sponsorship of the 2012 Irish Paralympic Team. The partnership agreement sees OCS becoming title sponsor of the inaugural Irish Paralympic Awards. These are the first of their kind in Irish Paralympic Sport, honouring the achievements, successes and contributions of the Irish Paralympic team and its support network over the London cycle.

Thailand

PCS Foundation is more than just another charitable foundation offering funding to local communities. We take the opportunity to work with our customers and staff assisting the needy, ranging from helping underprivileged children in rural areas by offering educational scholarships, to rebuilding of school canteens and donations of stationery and educational items. Since the Foundation began in 2005, we have raised funds in excess of five million Thai baht from which we have supported the Children Foundation in Chiang Mai (children affected by HIV/AIDS), the construction of new hospital building at Bor Kleua hospital in Nan province, the Thai Red Cross Society for supporting the victims of Nargis cyclone in Myanmar and the Mangrove Reforestation activities in Samut-Songkarn province

PCS is also represented on the board of the Thailand Business Coalition on Aids. This organisation has been working to raise awareness amongst businesses on how to prevent the spread of HIV and also on providing support to people suffering from the condition.

Cambodia

PCS has joined the board of PSE (For a Child's Smile). This organisation takes care of underprivileged children by providing them with education and helping them to find a job.

We are also involved with the Cambodia Coalition on Aids.

Bangladesh

PCS joined the Poppy Appeal Fund to provide homes, employment, rehabilitation and training for ex-service men and women and their dependents.

We supported the British Business Group in Bangladesh on a project to transform a village that had been severely affected by cyclone Sidr.

PCS has donated various items of housekeeping equipment to Montfort Boys Town to provide residential care to orphans and boys from poor and underprivileged families.

India

OCS created a 500ml bottle of either sparkling or still mineral water, branded Just Deli, in a recyclable plastic bottle. For every bottle of this water we sell, 5p is donated to a small charity in Rajasthan in India called 'Wells for India' which provides clean drinking water and sanitation to a group of remote villages in the region. We have so far sold over one million bottles of Just Deli water, raising £60,000, making a real difference to the people in Rajasthan.

United Kingdom

In 2010, we joined Business in the Community and are supporting a range of activities including the Business Action on Homelessness initiative.

We teamed up with Cancer Research UK to raise funds and promote healthier lifestyles, as well as to encourage community participation in activities and fundraising events.

OCS Young Sports Person Awards are now in their fourteenth year. During this time over £350,000 has been awarded to over 180 talented youngsters – you will see some of our winners competing in the London Olympics!
